Father’s Day 2020!
Father’s day is coming around the corner and it’s time to celebrate the OG men in our lives. Make this father’s day unique using some of the tips to celebrate no matter where you and your father are!
1. A good old fashioned card
Remember that saying, it’s the thought that matters, that’s what this is all about. A hand made card is extremely sentimental and deeply appreciated. This is a great way to be creative and customizes your card, perhaps use an inside joke or anecdote as inspiration for the card.
When was the last time you used glitter? Hehe
2. Recreate old photos
Going through old photos and memories can be extremely nostalgic, so why not try to recreate those memories? If you’re fortunate enough to be living in the same household as your dad, pick some of your favorite childhood photos with your dad and set up an at-home DIY photoshoot recreation. If an in-person recreation is not possible, try photoshop! We are living in a digital age, after all, we may as well use some of those Instagram editing skills here!
3. Make an appreciation jar
This is a great DIY project that you can do with the entire family. Make a list of all the things you (and your family) appreciate about your father and write them on pieces of paper. Fold them each into chits and place them into a cute jar. Include all of the classic dad jokes he has cracked in the past, your favorite memories together, what are some things you are grateful for that he has done.
4. Host a zoom call
While this one may seem obvious right now, there’s nothing like a virtual party right now! Invite all of your family members, near and far, and celebrate your fathers or father figures in your life. We have sooo much access to technology today that anything, even a virtual party, is possible if you’re willing to try it out.
