5 tips to protect your skin before Summer!

Essential tips to take care of your skin before Fall.

Summer in Dubai is grueling and can dehydrate your skin without you even knowing. Sun damage is a main contributor to speeding up the visible aging of your skin –YIKES!. Well, have no fear, these are our mini tricks to protect your skin and keep you looking like a sun kissed goddess this summer!

1. Stay Hydrated 

This one is pretty obvious, stay hydrated! It is easy to forget to drink enough water while leading a busy boss lady lifestyle but you have to make a conscious effort to do it. Sitting in air conditioned rooms all day actually drains your body of moisture. Keep a filled water bottle in front of you or in your bag so that it is easy to reach. Or try setting reminders every hour on your phone.

We love adding lemon, ginger, cucumber and/or mint to our water bottles every morning (and, of course a few cubes of ice!).

2. Stay Moisturized

Try using a tinted moisturizer and lip balm to give you that weightless chic look.

3. Follow a healthy diet

Don’t just stop at the surface! It is vital to eat antioxidant rich foods like berries (blueberries,blackberries,strawberries,raspberries), and pineapple to boost collagen production. This will help revitalize your skin and reduce inflammation and sun damage, healing your skin from the inside out.

4. Monitor your Vitamin D levels

5. Keep your skin clean

Go for a light/exfoliating facial every 3 weeks (p.s. don’t forget your neck). We find this absolutely necessary to remove all the dust/sand from our faces.
